NANCY CANNING is a technical consultant in the microcomputer industry and a producer for Berkeley public radio station KPFA. She has served as developmental editor for books on personal computers and on-line systems and has published articles in professional journals. Her previous work on Gould includes the appendixes in Glenn Gould: A Life and Variations by Otto Friedrich and Glenn Gould's Contrapuntal Radio: Bach to the Future in Ear magazine.

Too expensive ,,,but a great discography

I know that Greenwood Press specializes in books priced only for institutional libraries (i.e. overpriced). But I find it ironic that I can buy the bulk of Glenn Gould's actual recordings on remastered CDs for about the same price as this list of his actual recordings. Does that strike you as being out of balance?
My suggestion is to buy the recent boxset of Glenn Gould's complete recordings of Bach, the heart of his recorded legacy, on 38 CDs and 6 DVDs forthe bargain price of less than $2 per disc.
